Free touch typing lessons
Learn to type with all ten fingers, a few keys at a time, in five minutes a day.
The first lesson uses only F and J, where your index fingers rest. Each lesson adds two keys, moving outwards along the home row, then up and down. You pass a lesson with 94% accuracy and a target speed that rises slowly as you go.
An on-screen keyboard shows the next key and colours each key by finger. Your daily goal, streak and level keep you coming back; most people see clear progress in two to three weeks of daily practice.
Questions
How long does it take to learn touch typing?
With 10 to 15 minutes a day, most people learn every key in two to four weeks, then build speed over the following months.
Will I be slower at first?
Usually yes, for a week or two. It is worth it: touch typists end up faster and make fewer mistakes.
